CAS Mix Up June reminder post

Time for a reminder of the CAS Mix Up Challenge, which is Ombre....
I am thrilled to be hosting it. The gallery is looking so creative and absolutely fabulous......

This is my card.....

Stamping, Ombre technique using oxides and distress inks ....
and my choice is Heat Embossing and Die Cutting.
I started with using my new Colorful Life Marvellous Rectangles Masks
and blended Sage Green Oxides and Distress Inks for the Ombre effect.
Using a foliage stamp on the background and reversing the Ombre colour.
The gorgeous flowing leaf stamp was stamped and heat embossed in gold.
Using bleach to take off the colour within the leaves inside the rectangle
and then water colouring the leaves outside in the sage green.
The sentiment has been triple heat embossed in gold and I gentle splattered some water.
I liked the flow of the card from the right to left
and finished this movement off with the die cut circle........

We have the very talented Bobby from Bits and Pieces as our guest designer this month and you can find more inspiration from our fabulous design team over on the CAS Mix Up Blog.....
Come and join in the fun challenge.
I am so looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations in the gallery x.
Crafty Hugs x......

Mac, your card is magnificent. I love how your whitened the leaves in the mask and watercoloured the leaves outside the frame. The added wreath and the embossed sentiment is pretty, too. I have never tried to use bleach but definitely I will give it a try. Hugs, my dear friend.

The ombre effect looks amazing, Mac! I hadn't quite thought about using the ink in that regard, and I love the idea. Thanks for the inspiration with your beautifully dainty vine and embossed sentiment! hugs, de

STUNNING as always Mac, my first sight of the card I thought the die cut was a wet water shape you had stamped, then to read it was a die cut, love that design, the card is Stupendous. Such an elegant and classy card.

This is a beautiful card, lovely embossing. It's one of those designs that you could produce a batch of assorted colours. You always give us something to ooo and ahhh about. I have a pen with removable nib that I use for this technique as bleach can be very unkind to my paint brushes. Lemon juice is a great alternative ;) Hugs Tracey xx
P.S Think I am caught up now, sorry for my delay as you know i've been away xx

Mac what a combination of elements, I love your triple embossed sentiment and your leaf image against your ombre background. Such a beautiful card :)

Gorgeous soft ombre green colors for your background and leaves, Mac. Beautiful gold heat embossed sentiment too. Your flow is so wonderful from right to left in your beautifully designed CAS card. TFS Hugs...

This soft green seems an unexpected choice of colour - I'm used to seeing stronger hues in ombre, but this looks delicate and beautiful. Great technique for taking away colour - I'm too scared of bleach!

Amazing design Mac! Love how you've created this beautiful rectangle with so much movement from the leaves. Having the leaves bleached inside and the soft sage green leaves on the outside of the rectangle is such a clever design. LOVE IT! Thanks for hosting this very fun challenge! xx

Such a creative design and a beautiful Sage Green ombre effect, Mac! I love the movement form the right to left, ending with the camouflage die-cut too! The reverse ombre, the bleached-out leaves and the water spatters add interest, and the triple gold heat-embossed sentiment stands out. If you look closely, there're so many things going on and yet the finished card looks elegant and wonderfully CAS. I love it. Thank you so much for hosting this fun challenge!

This is AMAZING, Mac! The masked and sponged background with the subtle stamping is wonderful in itself, but the way you've done that flowing leaf is so artistic! I love how you've bleached the leaves (isn't that fun?) and colored some in. With the gold embossing it adds such interest and movement! Thanks for a wonderful challenge this month and awesome inspiration!

What a gorgeous design! That is such a pretty branch stamp!!! I love how the bleaching turned out! I have never tried it, too scared I would really ruin the carpet, or something!

This is so lovely, Mac! Such beautiful soft greens for your ombre panel, and wonderful flowing branches - great way to do the leaves with them bleached out on the green panel and painted green outside of it!

Spectacular, Mac ... the gently flowing leaves and those soft greens are so soothing and serene ... they put me in mind of a sweet summer afternoon ... just gorgeous! Hugs, Anita :)

Great masking technique. I sometimes happen to damage paper when peeling off the tape. You did it perfectly. I love those faded colors, like a summer dawn, a bit misty with the vapor rising above the water. WOW! A great feeling and a memory from a very distant holiday.

This is FABULOUS, Mac! Love the gorgeous greens, the gold embossing, the ombre-ing... and then removed color with bleach? Did you use a brush and literally brush on the bleach? Wonderfully beautiful!

Perfect stamping, wonderful design and gorgeous colours!
Love it!

Gorgeous, MAC! At first glance, it looked straight forward, but after reading your post, it’s oozing with brilliant techniques and details. The bleach / watercolor effect on the foliage is fabulous. xx

Another card with a WOW effect - so intricate! Bleach, huh.... I tried that in the past and failed miserably...maybe I'll give it another chance. I am also wondering if I could link up my Twofer cards.... I think they would work...thanks for the reminder. Would like to make a separate card, but I don't think I will manage....

This is such a soft and pretty card, also has quite a dreamy quality Mac and I love the way you have added the die cut and coloured the parts that fall within the masked rectange, and also the reverse with the green coloured leaves outside the rectangle, and the gold embossing works beautifully. A great design! x
