CAS Mix Up April Reminder

Time for a reminder of The CAS Mix Up Challenge this month,
which is Layered stamping, with heat embossing hosted by Susan.
There are video links on the blog in case this technique is new to you...

This is my card......

I have used layered stamping with heat embossing powders, Stamping, die cutting and Fussy Cutting.

After stamp layering and heat embossing several different colours of embossing powders I fussy cut the tulips and leaves and popped them onto the card at different heights.
The stems have been stamped and heat embossed directly onto the card.
I finished off with heat embossing gold at the bottom and also the sentiment.
I also made a Tag to join in The Stamplorations - Tagplorations challenge,
which is all about re-cycling........
As a technique girl I always have many attempts that I put in a box for future use,
which rarely get used.
So this time I was determined to re-cycle one of the tulips and made a tag straight away.
The card, tissue and string are from re-cycled packaging.
The option was to use tissue.....
I have used a crackle stamp and a couple of colours of embossing powders on the first layer.
Next..... the crumpled tissue and hi-lights in gold.
I used the full sentiment this time, which is by Uniko.
Hopefully this photo shows the glorious shimmer from the Lindy powders and the Frantage.
Thank you Susan for introducing me to a new technique x.
A big Thank You to BozenA for being our wonderful guest designer this month.

If you've not tried this technique before, give it a go
and I am looking forward to seeing your creations in the gallery x.
Challenges I would love to join in.......
The Stamplorations - Tagplorations challenge  - Recycling
The tag die is by Stamplorations but you do not have to use their products to join in
AAA Challenge - Along the Edge
The Craft Stamper - Take it Make It Challenge - Anything goes so long as you have included stamping and there's a lot of stamping on this card and tag.....
Thrilled to have been published this month.....

Oh my goodness, this is so beautiful! I love the gold, purple, and green against the black - so elegant and sophisticated. And your layers of heat embossing are amazing. Great idea to have the bit of gold embossing at the bottom to ground the tulips. Love your tag too. I'm in awe of your work today!

What a punch this packs, the black background really intensify's that rich gold. By simply edging that bottom corner those flowers have taken on a whole new dimension pushing them even more to the forefront. You really do create magic with those powders and what a treat to see an additional tag. There's always something rewarding when we can recycle something we've saved for a later date. Thank you for sharing these beauties. Amazing creations.
Hugs Tracey xx

WOW! Once again you have amazed everyone with your card and tag. I love the colors I use, the perfect combination of gold, green and purple. This is one of my favorite trio. I love purple flashes, they look stunning on a black card base. I love the deep green of mixed shades and the gloss of leaves. I love how you built your flowers adding extra dimensions. Stunning designs. Thank you for being able to play with your amazing DT this month. It was a special distinction for me.
Happy Easter, Mac!!

So rich looking mf....it makes for the most elegant looking flowers.
I'm like you, I read about techniques, then forget to use them...I blame that on my lack of time to stamp.

So sorry to have missed so many of your gorgeous cards Mac, and although this is a month ago I had to leave a comment as this is beyond gorgeous and so bright and pretty and great to have the tag to go with the card. The Lindy Magicals have such a beautiful sheen to them and the contrast on the black card is fabulous. x
