Water coloured Trees.....

Inspired by The CAS Watercolour Challenge to make today's card...

The theme is Tree.....

The background was stamped with some Grey trees and then the fun...
Using my trusty Misti and Distress Markers to colour and stamp the trees.
Sometimes individual colours and sometimes not.....
Sometimes lightly misting with water and sometimes not.....
Learning all the time how much to use and maybe drying in between or not.....
Again this was not my first attempt!
The stamp for the bare trees in the foreground where too wide and not tall enough
so I masked them to make them skinny and then added further height
and branches using an archival ink pen.

Finishing off with stamping the deer and the sentiment,
adding snow to the branches and the tree trunks with a white pen.
The Challenge over at The CAS Mix Up  is Ink your stamps with markers...
I used traditional stamping too and my choice is water colouring....the snow and sky.
Way out of my comfort zone and I loved it.

Thank you for stopping by ...... I really do appreciate it x.

Challenges I would love to enter........
Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge with the optional twist of tree
Allsorts Challenge - Use Water or the colour Blue
I have used water for the water colouring and hints of blue on the trees.....

What a magical card Mac, your use of non traditional colour for those background trees makes it so mystical and how you have adapted those bare trees in the front shows what a creative design mind you really have.

Wow this is a stunning snowy forest scene, Mac! You did a fantastic job stamping the pine trees in the background. The colors are so pretty and the effect is so soft and artsy. I read your description of how you changed the original bare tree image twice, but you did it so well that I can't tell where you changed!
The snow is beautifully and naturally added, so again, it looks to me it was part of the stamp image. Amazing job! Hideko xx
