PaperArtsy Re-Inker Topic....

For the past two weeks PaperArtsy have had a topic of Re-Inkers
and I have really enjoyed the posts and being wonderfully inspired....
My Notebook Cover today has been inspired by the topic....

This is my Notebook cover.....
I so enjoyed mixing the medias and sure did learn lots along the way....

Two colours of Re-inkers were used for the background......
I put a couple of drops onto the mat and swept the card through until I was happy.

I next used the Re-inkers to stamp with, around the edges of the inked card.
The cute mini text has been stamped in plum archival.
The main stamping was stamped and heat embossed in white embossing powder.
The Re-inkers were then mixed with white and translucent embossing pastes for two different effects.
I loved how one was matt and textural and the other one shiny and translucent.
I used all four of them through a stencil.

I tried lots of different techniques this past week with the Re-inkers......
I was intrigued how different the two examples on the left look using exactly the same ink colours
but on different card stock, one matt and one gloss.......
I also tried the Re-inkers and shaving foam, which was a lot of fun........
I also tried the technique through a stencil and got some fabulous and unique effects.
Using a Pigment Re-inker and a roller I spread the ink onto an acrylic block
and rolled it over an embossing folder.
The top left is just laying a card over the ink, on the embossing folder and rubbing it.
The top right is popping the card into the inked embossing folder and embossing it.
The bottom two are the same but using the other side of the folder.

I coloured the ribbon with the left over ink on my acrylic block.
I also used the Re-inkers to colour directly with, to hi-light a little on the flower heads and leaves.
Finishing off with stamping the word sentiments, some white splats and white doodling.
Most of the time my Re-inkers just live in my cupboard, unused,
as I don' think to use them for anything else.......

I had so much fun, learnt lots and got messy this week and loved it.....
I loved exploring new ways to using the Re-inkers.
I would love to enter teh following challenges....
Stamplorations - Mixed Media - Anything but a card

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love how you've shared your process and enjoyed seeing your other experiments. It's a while since I've played with reinkers and although I get the Paperartsy updates, I hadn't even considered playing with them until I saw this post. Thank you for the inspiration. Your work is wonderful!

I am also guilty of leaving the reinkers in the closet, unused unless I need them.. You did some lovely things with yours. I do like the brayering and embossing with the pigment ink.
