CAS Mix Up September Reminder Post

It's that time again for The CAS Mix Up Reminder post

Bonnie is hosting and Chrissie is our wonderful guest designer.
This months challenge is inking up your stamps with markers.
There are video links over on the blog for further inspiration.....

This is my card

I have used Distress Markers and one Zig Marker to ink up the stamp,
lightly misting with water and using my stamping platform. I did this a few times.
Finishing off with adding some freehand detail,
stamping the butterfly and sentiment and splats using white gesso.
I originally stamped the oxoxox sentiment at the bottom left hand side,
but didn't like it so I went over it with white heat embossing.
Thank goodness for the stamping platform. In real life it looks OK x.
I enjoyed this fun technique and hope to see your creativity in the gallery x.

I have that stamp but have never achieved such wonderful results with it. Love the soft colours of the flower - a great contrast to the brighter green of the leaves. I like the subtle xoxox along the stem.

Your flower is so elegant, Mac! You have mastered the spritzing which I never can get right! Love, love, love that blue gray and green color combo and your fix of the xoxo was genius! I'm always looking for ways to fix things.

Stunningly beautiful Mac. I love the watercolour effect that you’ve achieved by using markers on your stamps. It does take a little more time but the results are definitely worth it x

What a stunning card this is! I love the combination of colors and the big image. Very clean with lots of white space. So clever to use white embossing to change the sentiment placement. I never would have thought of that.

Wow, this is a stunning card Mac! I love the blue-grey of the flower along with the green foliage. Love the splatters as well. I really need to try this technique as your card is again just so stunning. I'm sure I won't be able to pull off something like this! lol Hugs, Brenda

What a really soft and delicate looking card design Mac!! LOVE the watercolor feel to the image and the little whisper of the xoxox around the stem was such a brilliant idea to go with your sentiment! I haven't done this technique with my stamps for years! Thanks for the inspiration with this gorgeous card!! I love it! HUGS

Your inking on this lovely stamp is just awesome. It looks so delicate and the green & white give the impression of a flower after a little rain shower. Love the way you've done the drops, and using the gesso was such a cool idea. This is just beautiful, Mac. TFS & Hugs (Love PBlack images!)

This is gorgeous Mac. The bluey gray is so soft and pretty and with a lovely fresh green for the leaves, sepals and stem, and the sentiment in that complementary colour too, also love that butterfly. The fix for the oxoxox has faded it which works well. x

Mac this is absolutely stunning!! I've only tried the markers on stamps method once and loved it but always forget about it till I see cards like this. Your cotton flowers are painted so that they feel soft. What an amazing technique. I do not quite know how you did it, but the end result is simply breathtaking. Ndie is therefore surprised by the choice of the jury in The Flower Card. I congratulate and admire.
