CAS Mix Up May Reminder Post

Time for the reminder post at The CAS Mix Up May Challenge,
which is using Gelato's or Crayons

This is my card......

I have used Distress Crayons, Stamping and my choice is Stencilling, embossing paste
and Die Cutting...
I started with using a thin layer of white gesso through the stencil.
This produced a slight resist...
After taking the stencil off I went over the whole card with several shades of Distress Crayons
and using a damp wipe to blend.
I wiped off any residue colour off the gesso with a damp wipe.
This is how I coloured in my background.
I popped the stencil back on, mixed a few colours of the Distress Crayons
and embossing embossing paste together and used this through the stencil.

The sentiment has been stamped and I have used Lindy embossing powder,
which looks all shiny  and changes colour in different angles.
The die cut circle has been raised up on foam for a little dimension.

There are video links on the CAS Mix UP Challenge blog
on different ways to use the Crayons or Gelato's.
Jenny from My Paper Epiphany is our wonderful guest designer this month,

Thank You Bonnie for this fun challenge.
I have loved learning different ways to use this new to me medium x

I love the look of black combined with bright pastels, and your card is no exception. Also love the addition of the black circle frame.

LOVE the colours and how they blend together on your gorgeous main panel, Mac. Such a beautiful stencil design. Love the bright green and turquoise against the black framing and card base. I have not tried Lindy's embossing powders yet, but now have something new to add to my wish list ... you are enabling me again, sweet friend! xx

Your stenciled piece is so beautiful! The gesso looks like the perfect medium to put your distress crayon over. I would have had a hard time cutting that piece up, but you finished it perfectly with the black.

Super pretty, I found the crayons a bit of a challenge. I liked your use of gesso at first and then embossing paste second.

This is just awesome. You got such great results using the gesso through the stencil, acting as a lovely resist. This is a really pretty stencil pattern too, and I really liked your idea to replace the stencil & added the colored paste. This really glows with such beautiful color & design. Super use of the crayons for this challenge. TFS & Hugs
