Thanks for everything.....

The Twofer Challenge this month is Blossoms....
The challenge requires you to make two cards,
using the same stamp or die and using the theme of Blossoms,
for two different occasions and two distinctly different designs....

These are my cards.......

I was inspired by The Paper Players Colour challenge to use any shade of Pink.
A girls got to have a pink dress.........
Thrilled to have been chosen as The Headliner with my Card....Thank you so much x
And
A winner over at The Twofer Challenge----Thank you, made my day....x
The CAS Watercolour Challenge this month is Garden,
which inspired me to make a garden themed CAS card.......
Yey to the Outstanding Design shout out....Thank you x

The stamp I have used is a poppy stamp by Penny Black from 'Blooming Garden'.
I used it as a poppy in my garden themed card
and reversed it, fussy cut it
and coloured in many shades of pink for my Birthday Girl Dress card.
I had so much fun making this card....
The flourish was stamped in grey archival and in parts I popped on Mica Flakes.
The dress and card is all girly and swirly....
The dress has been water coloured with many shades of pink, using Lindy's Magical powders.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is a crisp upright font to contrast,
with the swirls and is by Happy Little Stampers.
I finished off with silver stickles and popping up the centre panel onto foam.

My Garden themed CAS card has been water coloured with Lindy Magicals too
but the flat ones, which have no shine.
I masked the poppy's and then stamped varies individual flower/grass stamps in the background.
The fun element of the spiders web has been embossed in silver.
I also popped up a rectangle panel onto black foam to add further interest.

Contrasting cards in style and occasions and boy did I have fun x
Thank you so much for finding the time to stop by, I really do appreciate it.

Crafty Hugs x

WOW! What a brilliant way to use that poppy stamp to create the gorgeous pink dress! Never in a million years would I have thought of that! Love the flourish behind it and the bit of sparkle from the Stickles.

And your flower garden card is beautiful too - great masking of the poppies to stamp the grey stems behind them. Love the addition of the spider's web and the overlaid panel for the sentiment. A fabulous card! Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Watercolour!

I'm so glad you had fun, Mac! It sure was fun to see your incredible designs and read about the process! These are both truly breathtaking, thoughtful, and impeccably made: all Mac, all the way!! The poppy garden is so serene and then the poppies themselves just pop off the scene and the addition of the spider web is genius! Well, now, wait, maybe I used "genius" too soon because what then do I say to describe the Oscar pink carpet gown you described???? Untwoferlievable!! I have no other words and it takes a lot to make me speechless! Thank you so much for playing along in Twofer Card Challenge #3! Hugs, Darnell

oh I love both of these cards so much. my fave poppies and a fashion dress. I was wondering where you got the dress stamp from when I read on and realised how you'd made it - utter genius - just fantastic.

Oh my gosh Mac...I don't even know where to begin on commenting about these 2 FABULOUS cards! I came over to comment on your GORGEOUS water colour card for CAS Watercolour, and got treated to both of your lovely, lovely cards! Your Poppy card is absolutely beautiful and coloured to perfection!! Using that same stamp for your pink dress on the birthday card...I am absolutely floored and smiling ear to ear! Wait till Darnell sees this...I think she's going to flip! And if she doesn't...send her to me!! That card is absolutely STUNNING Mac and I can see why you had so much fun with it! Two absolutely breathtaking cards Mac!! :0)

Wow! Both of these cards are stunning and what a clever idea to use the petals to create the dress on your second card, which is absolutely stunning. The pink and silver against the white background is such a wonderful colour combination and I love your layout too. You are such a talented lady and it’s always such a pleasure to visit your blog. Two fabulous cards Mac x

These two cards are incredible! Your poppies garden is so beautiful and creative in design and I dearly love that you added the spider web. And then... say whaaatttt?? That gorgeous dress and, ohhh, those flourishes. I'm in awe!

Loll said...

Oh my gosh, Mac ... you are so clever!! I LOVE how you've used your poppy stamp to create the most beautiful ruffled pink dress. Gorgeous card with shine from the mica flakes and lots of sparkle.

Beautiful watercolour poppies in your garden. Adding the background features in gray is such a great idea to really bring the focus on the poppies. Spiders and webs are in real gardens, but rarely see them on a garden card ... lots of fun and whimsy with that. Again, another beautiful design, Mac.

Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge, and adding your poppy card to the CAS Watercolour challenge! xx

This dress just took my breath away. You're another crafter who sees 'out of the box'. I don't have the knack of doing that! Your Magicals coloring is just amazing and I love the bling. What a gorgeous dress you have created. Also loved the blaze of red on the 'flower' itself, and I like how you've done such a subtle spotlight with this lovely PB flower. I loved that you've done the shades & hues of red for both cards. Clever all the way round! TFS & Hugs

What a treat to see you your beautiful cards, Mac! Those red poppies are gorgeous among the light silhouettes in the background. The spider web is such a fun and whimsical addition. Okay, now about that dress! I am in awe with how your flowers went from petals to prom dress! The silver flourish and touches of silver on her dress are fantastic, and the girl is the perfect size to work with the size of your petals! Both of your cards are breath taking! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

This is thinking outside the box at it's best Mac, and what a gorgeous flower scene with the bright poppies and the cooler coloured flowers and grasses in the background, and love the sweet spider's web, and then the innovative use of the flower for the beautiful skirt of the dress in that adorable pink, and with shimmer and shine with the gilding flakes on the flourish and the stickles added to the dress. I have this PB poppy and would never have thought to use it in this way. x

Mac, each of your next cards is even more beautiful than the previous one. I love your creativity and such an unusual view of the world. The poppy dress looks stunning, it's perfect. Swirls, moves with the smallest body movement .... yes, I can see it, even though the card is theoretically very static. And your poppy meadow ... I love the contrast between colorful flowers and a silver background. Yes, I think it's a winning pair of cards in Twoofer :-)
Hugs,
BożenA

Congratulations on being selected as the Headliner at the Paper Players, Mac! I knew you would! :-)
What a clever way of using the poppy stamp - a gorgeous ruffled pink dress in 3D! Just amazing. Mica Flakes and Magical powders add shiny elegance to the card. The flower hair accessory is a pretty accent.
Your garden card is also beautiful. The poppies are painted so beautifully with Magicals. It takes time, but it's work masking, isn't it? I also love the background gray stamping and the silver heat-embossed spider web. Can I say one more time? "AMAZING creations!" Hideko xx
