CAS Mix Up March Challenge....

I am so excited and thrilled to have been invited by Loll and Bonnie
to join their wonderful and extremely talented
and creative design team at CAS Mix Up.....

I love mixing my medias, trying new techniques and trying to keep it CAS.
If you want to see how it's done, pop across and see the wonderful inspiration
and amazing creations from the design team......

My choice is Alcohol Inks, heat embossing and die cutting
Here is my card.....
I stamped the flower image onto heat resistant acetate and heat embossed in gold.
On the reverse I have used several different colours of alcohol inks,
decanted onto a palette and a paintbrush,
working quickly, before the inks dried....

I initially tried 'colouring' with the alcohol inks on the front,
thinking they would stay inside the embossed lines...mine didn't....
I thought it looked better bleeding out of the lines on the reverse.
I die cut a frame and finished off with stamping the sentiment
and popping it up onto foam for a little dimension.

I thought the sentiment says it all how I am feeling...
There are links to videos for more ideas and inspiration over at CAS Mix Up.
Come and join in the fun.
I am so looking forward to seeing your creations....

What a great day to be joining the team.
It's the second Birthday of this wonderful, fun and creative Challenge...
There are prizes....
Pop across and take a look.....
Crafty Hugs xx

Challenges I would love to enter....

First, Welcome to the CAS Mix Up Team Mac! I am so happy and excited to be working with you on the team - I admire your very creative and beautiful work! Your gold embossed roses are just gorgeous with your blended AI's going from light to dark! It's interesting that the inks wouldn't stop at the embossing on your first try - I have not tried to do that so good to know! Love the gold embossed sentiment on the black too - a great contrast with all the white! Julia xx

Congratulations on joining the CASMU team! You’re off to a fabulous start. Gorgeous card. I never would have thought about colouring with a brush and AIs. Surprised the gold embossed lines didn’t keep the colors contained, but I guess that's one of the cool differences between AI and watercolours. Amazing card! Looking forward to seeing more of your inspiring work. xx

You've started out splendidly with a wonderful card! I've never tried painting with alcohol inks but I definitely will now - I love the effect you achieved! And what a beautiful blend of colours. Also I really like the way you did the sentiment.

I never got around to congratulate you on your new GD post and your first contribution is so beautiful and bold. Using the alcohol ink on the back has another advantage: it won't be eating away at your heat embossed lines...
Too bad I did not manage to create a card in time for this month's challenge.
