Shades of White...

Today's card was inspired by The PaperArtsy Shades of White Challenge....
Love all the inspiration but the one that inspired today's card is from Wanda
She used stencils to great effect and was thinking about the tissue technique ...
The background is the tissue technique in white tissue sprayed with pearlescent.
The two trees in the background have been done through a stencil,
with gritty structure paste.
The tree in the foreground is a die cut with the paste on top.
The poinsettia has also been done through a stencil with the paste
and glitter gel mixed together and then fussy cut.
I have never used a stencil and fussy cut before.....
Finished off with the die cut sentiment.
Lots of texture and a little bling too on my card.....

PEACE.....

Here's today's' Watercolour Christmas card.....
I have used several colours of  Brusho's to watercolour the background.
The poinsettia has been stamped and heat embossed in gold
and the large sentiment die cut and heat embossed with glossy powder.
I finished off stamping the small sentiment and white splats for snow.
Heavy snowfall!!!!
I was trying for delicate snow flurry!!!
Let's just say this was not the first attempt......
The gold glitter and black and white stripes are washi tape.

I have been inspired by similar cards using alcohol inks in the blog world,
so I will be trying that next.......
Thank you so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate it.

Believe.....

So enjoyed making this CAS card, glitter and all.....
The Muse Christmas Visions Challenge is featuring Cornelia's fabulous card.
I was first struck by the vibrant colours of the red and green, the design layout
and the bold sentiment with the green strip.

I used a 'new' stencil and red glitter paste for the poinsettia.
No mess and no shedding......
The green vertical lines have been stamped with the help of the Misti,
as my stamp was not long enough or wide enough....
The 'Believe' sentiment is also a stencil, using black embossing paste
and loose black glitter.....My black glitter gel wasn't black enough,
so there is glitter mess everywhere!
I finished off with stamping the rest of the sentiment, popping on some sequins
and gold stickles to the centre of the poinsettia, like Cornelia's gold star x

Thank you Cornelia for the wonderful inspiration......
And to Linda for enabling me to 'buy' the gorgeous Poinsettia stencil x

12 Tags Of Christmas...
Your tag must be a mixed media Christmas Tag.
Any style or any size, which includes stamping, plus two mixed media elements,
which can be techniques or products.....

This is my Tag.....
The background has been sprayed with several colours of Lindy sprays
and stamped with gold text.
I used a stencil for the two black poinsettia and black paste.
The large poinsettia has been stamped, heat embossed and water coloured.

After adding a lacquer to it, the colours re activated and
I had to use a cocktail stick to re emphasise the veins and expose
the gold embossing.
This created a lovely texture and quite a life like poinsettia.....
Yey .....to Happy Accidents....
The edges of the tag have heat embossed frantage around them.

The centres of the flowers are green Novo drops.
Again ....re-activating the sprays, so they where done quite a few times!
In the end I used black acrylic on them first and then the drops,
which thankfully worked.

I finished with some splats and hi-lighting with a gold and sparkly pen and brush.

I had so much fun making this tag and learning about what re-actives with what....
Thank you so much Loll for the privilege of guesting today....

Come and join in the fun
and be inspired by Loll and the other amazing guest designers.

Sending Love and Hugs.....

Inspired by the sketch over at CAS(E) this sketch....
to make my card.....
The guest designer is TaeEun and she was inspired to do an alcohol ink background
and that was good enough for me.....
I rotated the sketch and this is what I came up with......
I enjoy playing with alcohol inks and learning how to control them a little better.
I used several colours, with blending solution and a puffer.
The vein leaves have been stamped and white heat embossed.
I have not heat set on glossy card before, in case it bubbles
but it played really well.
It took me ages deciding what to do with the 'end' of the sentiment strip.
Sequins, novo drops etc and in the end I stamped the end with the leaf...Happy...
I finished off with gold embossing powder around the edges of the card.
I enjoyed the sketch very much, as I thought it lent itself to the alcohol inks,
which I enjoyed x
Thank you so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate it.

What if I Fall?

Today's card has been inspired by Loll over at
Here is a video link to The Splash Water Colouring Technique...
This technique would be great for backgrounds
but I wanted to try it in a different way.
As soon as I saw, a new to me technique, I'm in....
I started by cutting a stencil with a die cut
and then had fun splashing my distress inks,
drying in between, which the masking paper did not like and kept creeping up...

I popped the fairy mask on and hi-lighted the wings firstly with gold acrylic paint.
I then spread some gold  stickles onto my mat
and using a paintbrush hi-lighted further.
I always forget to use the stickles this way.
I stamped the crackle effect at the bottom of the card and heat embossed in gold,
finishing with stamping the sentiment in black first and then gold on top.

I have had this sentiment a little while and not used it
but when I got this new die, I thought they went so well together....
I was quite surprised that I only had some seepage,
especially with the masking paper creeping up.

I had fun with this technique and thank you Loll for the inspiration to give it a try.
