Fallen Leaf.....

So many Autumnal beautiful colours on our trees....
Inspiring my card....
The die cut leaves by Poppystamps have been sprayed with lots of
different colours of Lindy Mica Sprays, which are so pretty.
I die cut the leaves twice so that I could get the gold edging on them.
The background leaves have been stamped onto vellum, heat embossed in gold
and fussy cut.
The background card has been stencilled with a wood stencil and embossing paste.
I finished off with splattering in gold, which I loved on the leaves
but the sentiment looks like it has an infection!!
The best thing I thought to do at this stage was to walk away......

Thank you so much for finding time to stop by.

WOW! This is a STUNNING card, Mac. Love the colours from your mica spray leaves. I think I need to go buy some of these! :) And I love the skeleton leaves in the background. So creative and beautiful. Splatters are awesome, even on the sentiment! xx

Gorgeous ! What a great idea to cut the leaves twice for that fabulous gold edging. I think you are right not to worry about the 'infection' on the sentiment - I really wouldn't have thought that if you hadn't said anything!

Oh, my goodness... what you're doing with these leaves! Love the combination of die cut and stamped leaves. Love the gold edge on the die cut leaves, but I'm wondering how you made the edge so uniform, rather than like a drop shadow. Beautiful use of the sprays. Now I'll have to look up the Mica sprays. This is just gorgeous. I have that sentiment in another set. You made me laugh about the sentiment panel having an infection. Thanks for another totally breathtaking entry in our challenge at Double D!

Those leaves are so beautiful!! Love both versions - great idea to the skeleton leaves on vellum! And the colours in the solid leaves are stunning - love the gold edge too! That is a wonderful sentiment - I really like the idea of thinking of autumn leaves that way!

After seeing your beautiful leaves in the last few days I now know I NEED those Mica Sprays. Another beautiful card M in all those glorious colours. Especially love how you backed them with the delicate gold vellum ones. Nice infection on the sentiment - glad you walked away. Looking forward to the next amazing project. You are on a role here.

Wow, this is stunning, Mac! The golden maple leaves are so beautiful. I love the different shades of the fall colors you created. The heat-embossing the outlines & veins on vellum is a smart idea and they're perfect for the background leaves. Glad to see your other card back in the gallery! Hideko

This is so, so elegant, Mac! Love the gold border on those pretty colored leaves and the gold embossing on vellum is gorgeous! The stenciled background is perfect for adding texture and not making it look too busy! Have to laugh about your comment on the sentiment. I didn't notice that at all until you mentioned it. I'm glad you just walked away and didn't throw it away!
