Love You.....

CASology is celebrating their 5th year anniversary
with a Balloon blog hop...
Congratulations to you and the Talented Team.......
This is my clean and simple card.......
The penguins have been stamped with my trusty Misti
to achieve the depth of black.
I did my first attempt with clear heat embossing
but my card warped and I didn't want layers...
Why is it that when I have to do a one layer card (or nearly) for a challenge I struggle
and then when I don't have to, then I very much enjoy the process?
Finished with glossy accents on the balloon and a little white mica powder.

Thank you for the wonderful CAS inspiration from the team
and thank you for the fun Balloon blog hop x
Thank you for stopping by, I really do appreciate it.

Hello...Gorgeous

Here is Today's project....
Today's project was inspired by the wonderful Mood Board at The Ton..
I was inspired by the wonderful collection of flowers and the heart shape....
I was also drawn towards the photo of the sea and the sky.
This was my starting point....
I tried to create the beautiful colours, using mica sprays......
Graduating from the pinks and the lilac of the sky
to the blues and  turquoise of the sea.
I stamped the gorgeous Anemone stamp in the top left
and also onto watercolour card.
Fussy cut the anemone's and water coloured with pigment powders.

The Summer Blooms stamp has been stamped on the bottom
and water coloured with pigment powders.
I have stamped in white heat embossing to represent the white surf.

The mini Peony cluster set has been stamped onto a  small MDF heart.

I finished off with the Love die cut sentiment
and silver heat embossing around the edge of the hearts.
The sprays and some of the pigment powders have produced the prettiest of shine,
which hopefully you can see?
I hope I have re-created the sky and the sea in the inspiration photo,
along with the gorgeous flowers?
Thank you so much for finding time to stop by.

Beautiful Butterfly.....

Today's card .....
CAS Mix Up challenge is to use tissue paper, stamping and my choice.
I am learning that there is so much you can do with this medium.
The Aqua goes so well with the tones of brown.
The inspiration came from the first post and the pinterest board
I used Lindy sprays for the background, with the crumpled up tissue paper.
After it had dried I heat embossed copper over some of the raised parts.

The butterfly has been stamped and water-coloured,
with the Lindy's using a paintbrush straight from the bottles.

The butterfly was fussy cut and the frame with a stitched die cut.
A little stamping on the background and also the sentiment to finish.
A detailed photo of the beautiful bling from the Lindy sprays
and the embossed heated copper
I have fun with this technique and combining the aqua with the browns.
CAS Watercolour Challenge is Butterfly, which also inspired my choice
of embellishment.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog..
I really do appreciate it x

WOW....65

Had fun over the past couple of days playing
with embossing powder and sprays.
Update...So lucky to 'Win' over at The Male Room challenge for my card...
Thank you so much x
This is my card....
One of our neighbours is celebrating their 65th birthday so this is for him.
I started with Wow embossing powders
On the left.....
I used three different  WOW embossing powders and
noticed that they look different over black so I ended up with four
different colours.......Yey!!!!
On the right.....
A stencil, embossing paste, several Lindy sprays
and also embossing powders.

For the thistles I used a stencil and embossing paste, coloured with Lindy Magicals.
The grunge silver hearts have been stamped with Wow stamps and heat embossed.
The sentiment has been die cut,
out of the Wow embossing from the photo on the left (above).
I loved how the graduated embossing turned out.
The shine and texture in real life is really eye catching.
Had fun with this one and hope my neighbour likes it? x
Thank you so much for finding time to stop by my blog,
I really do appreciate it x

Live In The Moment..

Inspired by
The CAS Mix Up Card Challenge
Update...
I was lucky enough to receive an Outstanding Design
shout out for my card...Thank you so very much

and
CAS(E) This Sketch for today's card
stamping, tissue paper and your choice..Mine is Die Cutting.
There are links on the blog about different techniques to try.
CAS(E) This Sketch  challenge totally caught my eye....
I have used several different colours of Lindy's sprays, for the tissue technique.
Some of them have mica in them and are really pretty and blingy !
I have enhanced the texture on the tissue with inca gold.
The die cut leaf has been heat embossed to add shine
and the sentiment heat embossed in gold.

I loved doing, the new to me, tissue technique and combining it with the sprays...
Messy and fun x

Mon Amie.....

Today's card was inspired by the Challenge over at City Crafter,
where the theme is Black and White....

My loyal and good blog friend Ros from Ros-Mikeysmom Blog
has been on the design team there for seven years
and this is her last inspiration post.
I shall miss her unique and creative style and wanted to show my support.
This card is for her...
Cas-Ual Fridays challenge is Tic Tac Toe so that was was inspiration too.
I started with the horizontal line at the top
I stamped the black horizontal stripes with my trusty Misti first.
The butterflies have also been stamped
and masked to get the white heat embossing on the black.
I then popped on the spiky stencil, masked and black embossing paste
and just before it was dry heat embossed white powder,
which gave a lovely texture to it.
I finished with stamping the sentiments.

At this stage it was all on one layer, which I was so pleased about.

However....the heat embossing and black paste made the mixed media card stock
warp, so I had to go onto plan B!
I added the dry embossed grid layer and now it's the vertical line on the right.
 How lucky was that?
It is one of those cards that looks like I made it quickly but boy did it take me ages.
And...I loved doing it!!!
Just wanted to say Thank You for all the inspiration Ros x

Money Wallet.....

Had a fun couple of days making this Money Wallet...
I was inspired by the  Flag Day Challenge at Shopping Our Stash.
They wanted us to use the colours of our national flag...
Mine is The united Kingdom..Red, White and Blue...
I live in Scotland, which is Blue and White but it is part of the UK.

I came by the challenge via Crispyscreations.blogspot.co.uk
I had never used the flag stamp before,
although I had it for some time...
This is my Money Wallet.....
I stamped the flag using distress inks and water.
The aeroplane and sentiment where stamped and heat embossed.
I die cut the beating heart line and layered it up for dimension,
popping blue foam behind.
This is the inside......
Smooshing with distress inks, die cutting, stamping and stenciling.
I kept the left hand side light so that I could hand write a sentiment x
I wanted it to look like a travel tag...
I have a neighbour who is shortly joining British Airways
as a steward and tried to work with that theme as well x

Thank you so much for finding time to stop by...I really do appreciate it x
