Wishing You .......

I have had a fun day crafting today, so this is my card ....

I have used the Poinsettia die cut that I didn't use at Christmas
and hoped I could use it for a generic 'flower' card?
I have inlaid the die cut.
The colour was inspired by Simply Less is More colour challenge of Mainly Teal
and
the technique of Smooshing by The CAS Mix Up challenge of
Stamping and Smooshing and my 'one other' is die cutting.
They are also celebrating their 1st Birthday.....xxxxx
Happy Birthday and Thank you for the continued great challenges of
CAS, Mixed Media and learning new techniques x
I sprayed several teal colours of inks onto my craft mat and smooshed away.
The sentiments have been stamped and heat embossed with
platinum embossing powder.
I initially stamped in black ink, which was a little heavy,
so with the help of the glorious
Misti I over-stamped with versamark and the embossing powder.
I hope the Poinsettia die has worked as a 'flower' die?

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I wanted to say a Big Thank you to Hazel of My Card Attic for helping me
with advice on my new photo box and the workings of Photo Shop.
It was so nice to be able to photograph my card, this time of night with no hassle
....Thank you Hazel, you have been so kind and generous  x

I wouldn't have known it was a poinsettia in those beautiful colours - I love the sentiment.

Oh, Mac, this die is so pretty and works perfectly with the teal! The smooshing has such wonderful color and your inlaid die cuts are gorgeous! I think the platinum over the black embossing is stunning! Hope I can remember to do that on purpose! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

A swoon worthy card - I first thought you used Brushos. Came out great and the teal does not make it look like a Christmas flower at all.

Gorgeous Mac and I love how the flowers get paler as they gently cascade down your card. I really like the colour palette that you've used and the sentiment is lovely too. Wishing you a happy weekend. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

What a stunning card Mac!! Love the inlaid die cuts and yes, I think they work as a 'flower'. The trouble I have with die cutting from 'smooshed' backgrounds is, I always love them as a whole! However, you just MAY have changed my mind about that, as this looks just fabulous and hasn't detracted from the beauty of the piece! Thanks for the 'shout out' it was my pleasure! Have a wonderful weekend my friend! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

This looks amazing and the teal colours are so striking with the poinsettia. Would never think to make a card using the two together. Great thinking. Hugs Mrs A.

Your smooshed teal tones look stunning, Mac. Love your use of the poinsettia for a non-Christmas card and the platinum EP works brilliantly with these tones too.

Your smooshed background is so pretty, Mac. I can see the different shades of teal -- gorgeous! I think this die definitely works as a generic flower. I don't think I would have realized it was a poinsettia except that you mentioned it. Great job to stretch the use of your dies. And thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
