Friends Together......

Guest Designer at CASology...........

I was so delighted and thrilled to have won at CASology last week with this card...
As a result Melissa asked me if I would like to be a guest designer this week...
Absolutely.... I would love to ..........
This weeks cue card is Stitch....
This is my card......
I stamped the Friends Image and sentiment several times with the Misti
to get the black as dark as I could get it.
I die cut the 'together' sentiment from white CS and inlaid it.
The Zig Zag Stitch line has been stamped and heat embossed in gold.
I finished off by die cutting the square with a Stitch Square die.
I tried several different ideas for the cue card,
after settling with the idea of 'Friends Stitched together through friendship' x

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity of Guest Designing this week.
I look forward to admiring your creations in the gallery.

Exotic......

Hello There......
Today's card is a CAS fun card.
The giraffe has been stamped and then masked so I could use a stencil
and blending with distress inks.
I thought the stencil from Stamplorations looked like a Giraffe.
The edges have been heat embossed with gold and copper.
I finished off with lightly colouring the Giraffe and stamping the sentiment.
Some smudgy bits but I guess that the Giraffe won't mind!
Thanks for stopping by....

Geometric.....

Before I show you today's card I was thrilled and delighted to have won
at CASology with this card from yesterday...
I  have been lucky enough to have been selected as the Honourable Mention several times
but never a win, so it's made my day and I thank the team for all the wonderful inspiration x
Anyway.....Today's card.....
I started by die cutting the geometric die out of foam as I wanted to use it as a stamp.
I hadn't done this before and I was super excited that it worked really well.
I used re-positionable spray on the foam and
then stamped with versa mark and white embossing powder.
I had a fun time using my Gansai water-colours in rainbow colours.
I cut the flower die and used this as a stencil and scraped through black embossing paste.
The flower was die cut out of more water coloured card and popped on top of the black paste.
Some of the sentiments have been die cut and layered with foam
or popped straight onto the card or stamped and raised onto foam.
I enjoyed mixing the sentiments and how they where used on the card.
I also enjoyed using a die as a stamp.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Dream Big....

Today's card......
Update....Thrilled to have won at CASology....Thank you x
I started by spraying a few sprays onto card and then die cutting the feather.
I also die cut the feather out of White Linen card.
The small butterflies have been stamped using a kaleidacolor dye ink pad.
I always forget to use them...they really are so pretty.
I assembled the card, inlaying the sprayed die cut feather,
stamping the sentiment and then hi-lighting with a gold pen.
CAS and Mixed Media........
I have had these die cut feathers for ages and not used them and now I can't stop using them!
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Happy Everything

Today's card has been inspire by a CASE card...
Update...I won with this card-Thank you so much...Loved casing Shalu's card x
This is my take on the card....
I started by painting gold stripes, using starlight paints free-hand
and then stamping in black a striped stamp using mixed media stamps.
I have used a flower stencil and clear embossing paste and orange distress inks to colour it.
I have popped on several green sequins.
I have finished off with a black and gold strip down the left and heat embossing a sentiment.
I enjoyed CASEing Shalu's card and producing an artsy and fun card.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Olympic Mobile....

Today's project was inspired by The Male Room challenge - Olympics/Sports
I'll show you the photos first......
I have made an Olympic Masculine Mobile....
A Dream Catcher.....
I have used gold, silver and gold along with the Olympic colour rings.
I have paired up the Male sports with the colour of the medal that some of the
UK Olympians have won.
Silver in Swimming and Canoeing, Bronze in the all round gymnastics.....
Gold in Rowing and Cycling.....
I have used stencils in a round (medal) theme throughout onto the vellum using
gel and glitter in gold, silver or bronze.
I have die cut the feathers using the five colours of the Olympic rings.
I over stamped them with a feather stamp using co-ordinating colours of starlight paints.
Wow these paints are sparkly.
The tips of the feathers have been further embellished with glitter and gel in gold, silver or bronze.
The coloured Olympic circles have been die cut and the centers from vellum.
The vellum has given a really lovely silhouette effect.
The underneath has been done with a circle stencil and gold, silver and bronze gel glitter.
I attached the feathers using wire to continue the masculine theme.
The green leaves have been die cut and attached around the circle to represent the Olive Wreaths.
I had fun making the mobile and my DREAM catcher.
Sorry about the photo over load but it was really hard to photo.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Sending Hugs..

Bistre Powders, Glitter and Metal....
Update.....CAS Mix Up Challenge-Pick of The Month...Ye Ha, Thank you so much x
Today's card....
I started by die cutting the loop/circle die and used this as a stencil.
I made sure my base card was completely covered and popped the die into the negative space.
I wanted to preserve the white space and working with the powders is always really messy.
I sprinkled the Bistre powders and sprayed with water to activate them.
I didn't want the inlay effect as I wanted the water and powders to work within the circles.
I die cut the circles again out of aluminium foil tape and coloured with copper alcohol ink.
The feathers have been die cut and one covered in double sided tape and glitter added.
The other one has been heat embossed with several layers of copper embossing powder and
stamped with blue paint at the top and Bistre's at the bottom.
The squares have been die cut with a stitched die twice.
I popped on copper glitter dots, a sentiment and three blue crystals to finish.

On hind site I should have just die cut and inlayed but I was trying for a more pooled effect
inside the circles. I think I could have done that better with water-colours and not the Bistre's.

My Bother-In-Law yesterday found out he was to be made redundant so I wanted to make
a masculine card but was mindful it was for his wife too.....They are a team x
So ....I thought brown and blue with a pop of glitter and shiny metal hit the mark?
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Crafty Hugs x
PS Bistre powders are more vintage in colour with hints of brown in them
as opposed to the Brusho's.
After popping on the liquid copper glitter dots they re-acted to the powders and made me chuckle...Learning all the time x

Colour Mixing.....

Fun day today making this project....
I started my project by...........
Sprinkling a few shades of brusho's over the poppy seed stencil and
activating them by scraping clear embossing paste over the stencil.
The background has been done using sprays and brusho's.
I have also stamped text and a gold frame around the edges using media stamps and gold ink.
The circles are stencils, white gesso and gold paint.
To achieve the the orange and green features I mixed pastes in a few shades, spread
over white gesso and a stencil.
I finished off with stamping the sentiment, popping it up onto foam and a few gold splats.
I loved the colours, the gold and how the red/orange poppy seeds worked out.
I had fun and got messy too.
