Thinking Of You ......

Today's Card.......
CASEing a card today over at STAMPlorations...
This is Donna's card...
I was inspired by the pretty colours
and that the die cut feathers where interlocked to each each.
So with this in mind I made my card....
I used the stencil and blending inks for the colours.
I masked to achieve the interlocked idea that Donna had used with her dies.
I also loved that Donna had tipped the top of the feathers with colour,
so I stenciled through the bird as a nod to her idea.
I finished off with the stamped sentiment and black splatters.
The splatters are quite small, as I wasn't brave enough to make them bigger,
as I had never used black ink splats before and they seemed so permanent and scary!
Thank you so much for popping by...

Hero......

Today's card......
I was inspired by three challenges to make this card....
I started by using a couple of shades of red Brusho's and spraying water.
The boots where stamped in black ink ....I used water and a brush to take off most of the red.
The sentiment has been die cut and another layer of black foam added for dimension.
The bottom of the die cut sentiment has frantage heat embossing on it.
I love this stuff as it adds interest and is dual colour.
The black horizontal lines on the left have been stenciled and gold embossing added.

Felt Flowers....

Today's Card......
I had fun using felt to die cut and then to inlay the pieces back into the project.
I had to give in with the sentiment and die cut them out of card in the end.
The felt sentiments where too fluffy in felt and too messy around the edges.
If I hadn't wanted to inlay them, then they would have been ok
but you know what it's like when us crafters have got an idea in our heads!
The small falling dots have been stenciled with black ink and white embossing paste.
I have used the opposite colours on the black frame for the dies and the stenciling.
I am popping the project into a frame for a friend.

Forever Grateful...

I have been dabbling in water colouring and this is today's card...
Update.... I was thrilled to get a Honourable Mention at CASology with this card and...
An Inspiring Stand Out at Inspired by all the little things...
And... A Top Pick at STAMPlorations CAS Challenge x
Absolutely delighted...Thank you so very much x
I have looked at loads of videos, admired very talented artists doing water colouring
and thought it was time that I made an attempt.
I am hoping that when I look back at this I will have improved immensely.
I was trying out Zig Pens and Kansai water colours.....
So much to learn, different types of card, paint brushes and techniques.
I was trying the no line technique but still ran a white pigment pen around when I finished!
What I did like was the plain and simple sentiment....
I was so engrossed in playing that I now have a card ready for Darnell's Oops challenge...
when it comes around!
I was inspired to use the magnolia stamp with the photo inspiration from

Hello Sunshine.....

Mixed Media card today....
I was inspired by The Mixed Media Challenge
Cards only...Sunshine with the option of bricks
Update....My card was hi-lighted at The Mixed Media Card Challenge-Thank you very much
This is my card......
I started with Brusho's on the background.
The brick wall and the sun have been done with a stencil
and embossing paste first to give some dimension.
The sun has been coloured with yellow acrylic paint and
the wall, also with acrylic paints and then hi-lighted with copper mica powder.
I stenciled the cloud with white puffy paint...Great fun dimension.
The flowers have been stamped and white heat embossed.
I used water and kitchen towel to take off the Brusho's from inside the flower.
They have been coloured with acrylic paint and then finished off with glossy accents.
The hello sentiment is stamped and raised up on foam
and the Sunshine sentiment cut out of foam twice.
I have had a fun crafty day .....

Wish.......

Today's card has been inspired by One Layer Simplicity
As You Wish...
I had never heard of The Film..
In the classic movie The Princess Bride, the hero Wesley
responds to every request from his love interest Buttercup with the phrase,
"As you wish."

Seriously. It's one layer of card stock: AS YOU WISH!

And if you could tie it into a theme or line from The Princess Bride
well, we'll be impressed! But that's not necessary

I have been thinking about this all month...and I have done loads of research
and and I would like to use this photo as my inspiration....
I have focused in on the castle. The sentiment Wish and the wispy colours...
This is my card
I started by masking off a horizontal area and then cutting out a Wish die cut
and layering it down on my CS.
I then stamped the castle and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I sprayed a couple of  Lindy sprays and removed the die cut Wish...
A first for me to try this technique...
I ironed the castle with paper to remove the clear embossing powder..again a first for me...
I masked off the horizontal layer and stamped the castle with pink Lindy powders.
After removing the masking tape I enhanced areas with pinks and purples with the powders.
The cloud has absolutely no reason to be there...accept.... right at the last minute
I got a stain on my card!!  I have used a stencil and white embossing paste.
After all the work there was no way I was going to start again!
I loved the challenge...The research ... and trying lots of new things for me and being artsy x

I used a stencil for the flower....Metallic paints first and once dried clear embossing paste.
I also used a stencil for the dots and gold embossing paste.
The script text was stamped  and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I finished off with stamping the sentiment in black
and then versa mark and gold embossing powder at the bottom.
Ye Ha for the Misti.
The metallic paints and gold embossing has given a beautiful shine to the card.

Nature....

Inspired by a couple of challenges....here's today's card....
I was a top 3 with this card at IndigoBlu-Thank you very much x
I had a fun day playing with different mediums, card stock, sprays and powders.
IndigoBlu challenge is Yellow, Pink and Green so that inspired me to use those colours.
Happy Little Stampers has a Case The Card challenge, so that inspired my layout, idea and design.
I reversed where I wanted to put in the colours.
That's what is so great about CASEing a card and the inspiration...
where it starts and where it ends up!

I have water coloured the flowers using Zig Pens..
The background has been done with Brusho's, Lindy's Magical powders and text stamp.
I stamped the flower stamps first and then did the background around it..
Normally I do it the other way around but loving trying out new things.

Journey .....

This is my second post today...
I really want to participate in a challenge that is ending shortly....

City Crafter is Celebrating their Sixth Birthday!
Their challenge is to CASE a card from the Design Team...
I have attempted to CASE Ros's card.....CASE Number 3
I am a big fan of her work and I think it's wonderful to get the opportunity
to 'Copy/CASE' her card x
So here's my project.....
and Here is Ros's card......
My starting point was the mesh looking metal behind the image.
I die cut the the distress collage die from Memory Box to represent this.
The background has been blended with blue distress inks.

I was inspired by the die cut leaves, so using Memory Box leaf dies
I cut them out of black card and vellum.
The flower is a two part die, also by Memory Box.
I die cut the line flower twice, to use as a stencil.
The embossing paste has glitter in it for a little bit of bling.
The background has been splattered with water.
After assembling the card I finished off by stamping
the sentiment and popping on a few sequins.
The reason that I made a notebook was that I will be going on holiday in May
and wanted a notebook to take with me.
I love the textural feel of it and I know it will get bashed around a bit but that's OK with me.

So glad I was able to CASE the card and make the notebook out of it...
